Nanty Glo Municipal Offices are located at 1015 First Street, Nanty Glo, Pa. The offices of the Borough Manager, Borough Secretary, Nanty Glo Water Authority, Borough Tax Collector, Nanty Glo Police Department and Mayor’s Office are located here.
The Borough of Nanty Glo is governed by six council members and a mayor who are elected by the voters.
Council members are vested with the executive and legislative powers of the Borough. They determine municipal policy, enact laws, approve the budget, set tax rates, pay bills, and appoint borough officials.
The mayor attends all meetings but votes only in the case of a tie. The mayor is responsible for enforcing the borough’s laws and ordinances and has full charge and control of the police force operating within the Nanty Glo Borough.
The Borough Manager and Borough Secretary coordinates the daily operation of the Borough Departments, and they implement the policies and decisions made by the borough council.
